OK, so somebody put go and visit 'la tomatina' on the list when I was asking for suggestions. And it just so happens that I get an email in the morning saying somebody is going to recreate the mayhem nearby at Canary Wharf and they need volunteers to take part.
Boom, yeap I'll do it!
So some food company has basically set up a PR stunt but the idea is sound, food fight!
So I get myself dressed up in a white T shirt and get myself up there for that lunchtime. We all gathered in a car park at Wood Wharf. Maybe about 100 people in total. All dressed in white. I had the good idea to bring my swimming goggles. The area is roped off and there are a dozen or so tubs of tinned tomatoes (not in tins!) big ones maybe 80 litres each. We were also each given a handfuls of fresh tomatoes.
The countdown was called, the DJ starts some dance music and then a very crazy 20 minutes happen.
It was very messy but brilliant fun.

I clean up a bit and changed into a free t shirt afterwards I cycled home covered in
muck on a Boris bike
I was in such a mess when I got back that I just got into the shower
with all my clothes on.
